Welcome to our educational blog provided by Bradley Steven Rigby, a seasoned expert in the field of dentistry. Having two operational bases in West Jordan and Sandy, Utah, our mission is centered on giving the best dental care services to our community. Today, we are going to tackle a prevalent issue that affects a good number of people, Cracked Tooth Syndrome, and how our tailor-made treatments can provide the much-needed remedy.
Cracked Tooth Syndrome, often abbreviated as CTS, is a dental condition characterized by cracks in your teeth that are too tiny to be discerned on X-rays or are tucked below the gum. These cracks are known to cause excruciating pain and discomfort when biting and chewing.
Avoiding CTS is certainly possible and within your grasp. One sure way to prevent cracked teeth is by reducing on activities that apply excessive pressure on your teeth, such as eating hard foods like popcorn kernels, ice, or hard candies, or habits like teeth grinding. Regular dental check-ups can also play a key role in detecting any signs of CTS in its early stages. By visiting your dentist frequently, minor cracks can be identified and addressed before they blossom into a major crisis.
At Bradley Steven Rigby’s practices in West Jordan and Sandy, UT, we are outfitted with cutting-edge technology and seasoned staff ready to handle cases of Cracked Tooth Syndrome. Our treatment protocol involves careful assessment of your teeth. Once we are certain you have CTS, we begin our treatment process that primarily seeks to prevent the crack from spreading. This could involve the use of specialized dental bonding materials, crowns for protection, and in severe cases, root canal treatment or tooth extraction may be implemented.
If you suspect or are experiencing symptoms of Cracked Tooth Syndrome, do not hesitate to contact us. Remember, prompt treatment can save your tooth and free you from unnecessary discomfort and pain. Schedule your appointment with us today!
